THE OUTSIDE:Is the Easy
Part
by Luther A. Sexton
“THE OUTSIDE: Is the Easy Part” is a study on Bible-based Holiness standards. The study uses several resources to examine standards of the outward appearance for Christians. The writing has three major topics concerning dressing habits, hairstyles, and the addition of any object or condition to the body. Within these three major topics, other topics are discussed such as God’s creative order of authority for the home and the church. There is an emphasis on the distinction of the sexes according to dress and hairstyle. The objective is to supply a resource for those who seek to live a Holiness standard which they can defend using Scripture, logic, and experience.
ALL THE GLORY:
To God the Father who loved me and gave His Son for me.
To Jesus Christ the Son of God who died for me that I might be eternally saved.
To the Holy Ghost who comforts me in my pilgrimage in this world.
THANKS:
To my wife, Patricia Sexton, for putting up with me spending so many hours
working on this project.
To my friend and brother in Christ, Jeffrey Allen Miles, who planted the seed
in my mind that I could write something worth
reading and encouraged me when I produced the first rough draft.
To the many who read rough drafts and offered support and suggestions along the
way.
To my first pastor, Reverend Conard Profitt, under whom I received Christ as my
Savior. He shepherded me for years with patience and encouragement,
leading me into the paths of Holiness.
